On April 17, the China Automobile Dealers Association unveiled the findings of its March 2025 "Auto Dealer Inventory" survey. The results indicate that the overall inventory coefficient for car dealerships stood at 1.56 for the month, marking a 3.1% decline from February but remaining unchanged year-on-year. Despite this, the coefficient remains above the optimal range and the warning threshold. During the first half of March, the automotive market witnessed a slowdown in sales growth due to the traditional off-season, leading to underwhelming performance. However, in the latter half of the month, as spring auto shows approached and regional Qingming Festival car-buying traditions took hold, some purchasing intentions were deferred to these events. Furthermore, the ongoing promotion of the government's "Two New" policies, alongside innovative sales strategies like "fixed pricing" introduced by several joint venture brands, significantly boosted dealership footfall and transactions, thereby injecting vitality into the market's recovery.
