BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd. has submitted an application to become a governing member of the Global Intelligent IoT Consortium (GIIC). The GIIC, an international industrial platform centered around the integration of 'IoT + HarmonyOS,' was officially founded in June 2024. It has successfully drawn in over 350 enterprises and institutions.
Drawing on BYD's wealth of industrial practical experience and the rich consortium resources of GIIC, the two entities are set to collaborate on driving forward the development and refinement of standards for seamless full-scenario interconnection spanning 'people-vehicle-home' environments. Their focus will be on fostering collaborative innovation in AI agents, with the aim of overcoming the 'fragmentation' issues that currently plague the industry and achieving true device interoperability.
Furthermore, the partnership envisions the creation of exemplary cases showcasing the synergy of 'people-vehicle-home' collaboration. This will involve deepening the bidirectional interconnection capabilities between 'vehicle-controlled home' and 'home-controlled vehicle' systems, enhancing vehicle-home safety integration, and pioneering the joint establishment of smart living experience spaces.
