Mercedes-Benz has made an official announcement stating that its Chief Design Officer, Gorden Wagener, will be stepping down from his position on January 31, 2026. Wagener, aged 56, first joined Mercedes-Benz back in 1997. Since 2008, he has been at the helm of the brand's global design operations. In 2016, he was elevated to the role of Chief Design Officer. With a remarkable 28-year tenure at Mercedes-Benz, he holds the record for being the design leader with the longest service in the brand's storied history.
