TCL has initiated legal proceedings against Samsung in a federal court located in Los Angeles. The core allegation is that Samsung has been misleadingly marketing its M-series TVs, which were introduced to the market in March of this year, as Mini LED displays, when, in reality, they are standard LED products. TCL asserts that Samsung's deceptive marketing practices have not only misled consumers but have also adversely impacted TCL's sales figures, tarnished its reputation, and undermined the perceived technological value of its offerings. Furthermore, TCL contends that Samsung's actions have eroded its dominant market share in the U.S. Mini LED TV sector. In response to these grievances, TCL has petitioned the court to issue an injunction against Samsung's promotional activities related to the disputed TVs and to award financial compensation. Samsung, for its part, has vowed to vigorously defend itself against these allegations, maintaining that its product descriptions are precise and accurate. As of now, the court has yet to issue a ruling on the matter.
