On November 26, 2025, SoftBank Group made public the news that its subsidiary, Silver Bands 6, had successfully wrapped up the all - cash purchase of the independent chip design company Ampere Computing on November 25 (local time in the U.S.). This deal was valued at a whopping $6.5 billion. After the acquisition, Ampere Computing will operate as a fully - owned subsidiary of SoftBank while keeping its original brand name intact. From the date of acquisition, Ampere Computing's financial and operational data will be incorporated into SoftBank's financial statements.
