Microsoft recently declared that, in light of the swiftly changing threat environment—which is now being bolstered by artificial intelligence—the company intends to adopt the regular use of AI technology for the automatic identification of Windows security vulnerabilities during the development phase. In pursuit of this goal, Microsoft will ramp up its utilization of multi-model AI scanning tools within the secure development process. This strategic move is aimed at reducing the time needed to uncover and rectify zero-day vulnerabilities. Simultaneously, Microsoft explicitly assigns the ultimate responsibility for applying patches to customers and enterprise IT administrators, tackling emerging attack types through more prompt and phased rollouts of updates.
