Shanghai has recently approved a new generative artificial intelligence service tailored specifically for Tesla's in-car voice large model. In August 2025, Tesla is set to partner with Volcano Engine to seamlessly integrate the 'Doubao large model' and 'DeepSeek Chat' into its in-car voice system, enhancing the driving experience with advanced AI capabilities. Previously, in July 2025, Tesla had already taken a significant step forward by activating the AI large language model Grok in the United States, showcasing its commitment to innovation.
In terms of delivery performance, Tesla's deliveries in the first quarter of 2026 witnessed a 6.3% year-on-year increase, although there was a 14.4% decrease compared to the previous quarter. Nevertheless, the Shanghai Gigafactory achieved a remarkable milestone, reaching a new high in deliveries in March, with a notable 23.5% year-on-year increase in deliveries for the quarter, underscoring the factory's robust production capabilities.
Furthermore, Tesla has refuted rumors regarding the development of a new all-electric SUV, clarifying its focus on existing and upcoming models. The company also announced the launch of a 6-seater Model YL in China in August 2025, catering to the growing demand for spacious and versatile electric vehicles in the market.
