On April 21, reports surfaced that the Internet Society of China organized the 2026 China Internet Development Symposium in Beijing. During the event, Zhou Hongyi, the visionary founder of 360 Group, highlighted a pivotal shift: as AI agents become ubiquitous, employees must develop skills to effectively manage and collaborate with these intelligent entities. Simultaneously, he noted that AI agents will democratize entrepreneurship, paving the way for innovative business models like 'solo entrepreneurship' ventures.

From an industrial perspective, Zhou anticipates that the proliferation of AI agents will necessitate a reconfiguration of internet infrastructure. He envisions software evolving towards a modular architecture, with some components even being generated autonomously by AI agents. Projecting into the future, he predicts that within the next three to five years, China will witness the emergence of AI agents on a massive scale, numbering in the tens of billions. These agents, he believes, will become the driving force behind the internet sector, fostering the creation of a novel, intelligent economic ecosystem.

In the domain of cybersecurity, Zhou underscored the inherent uncertainties and novel attack vectors that AI agents introduce in enterprise settings. He stressed that security must remain a top priority. To mitigate these risks, he proposed a strategy of 'model governance through models,' advocating for the deployment of security-focused AI agents to proactively identify and neutralize threats, thereby ensuring that the development of artificial intelligence remains within safe and controllable bounds.
