Microsoft's code hosting platform GitHub recently announced significant adjustments to its Copilot subscription plans for individual users: New user registrations for the Student, Pro, and Pro+ plans have been suspended, with only Copilot Free remaining open to new users. Existing users can still upgrade between different plans. Meanwhile, stricter usage limits have been imposed on individual plans, with the Pro+ plan offering over five times the usage quota of the Pro plan. A usage progress tracking feature is set to be introduced soon. Additionally, the Copilot Pro plan no longer provides the Opus model, with only the Pro+ plan retaining Opus 4.7, while Opus 4.5 and 4.6 have been removed from the Pro+ plan. If users find the changes unsuitable, they can cancel their subscriptions and request refunds between April 20 and May 20.
