According to a Reuters report on February 25, U.S. District Judge Lynne Perling of California dismissed on the same day the trade secret lawsuit filed by Musk's AI company, xAI, against OpenAI. xAI accused former employees of taking code and confidential information related to the Grok chatbot when they jumped ship to OpenAI. However, the judge noted that xAI failed to provide evidence of wrongdoing by OpenAI and allowed xAI to file an amended complaint by March 17. xAI has separately sued former engineer Li Xueqin, accusing him of leaking confidential information to OpenAI, but OpenAI denies that Li Xueqin ever worked for them. This case is part of a broader legal dispute between Musk and OpenAI, with other lawsuits also pending between the two parties.
