Data released by the Shanghai Municipal Statistics Bureau reveals that in the first three quarters of the current year, the manufacturing output value of Shanghai's three key industries witnessed an 8.5% year-on-year increase. This growth rate outpaced that of the city's overall industrial output value (from enterprises above a designated size) by 2.8 percentage points. Breaking it down, the artificial intelligence manufacturing sector posted a 12.8% surge, the integrated circuit manufacturing industry recorded an 11.3% uptick, and the biomedical manufacturing sector saw a 3.6% rise. Over the same period, the total manufacturing output value of strategic emerging industries within the industrial sector climbed 7.3% year-on-year. Among them, the new energy industry experienced a 19.6% growth, the new-generation information technology industry rose by 10.9%, and the high-end equipment industry increased by 10.3%.
