On Tuesday, General Motors (GM) introduced a groundbreaking battery technology known as the Lithium Manganese Rich (LMR) battery. This innovative chemistry is engineered to deliver cost savings while maintaining a driving range comparable to the most advanced batteries currently available. Kurt Kelty, Vice President of Batteries, Propulsion, and Sustainability at GM, revealed that the LMR battery has the potential to power trucks for over 400 miles, thereby significantly lowering battery costs.
