SpaceX has successfully conducted the static fire test for the upper stage rocket of its upcoming Starship 9 mission and has subsequently returned the rocket to the production facility for thorough evaluation. The launch is tentatively scheduled for as early as May 21. Concurrently, the Super Heavy Booster has been moved to the launch pad, now prepared for reuse, marking SpaceX's inaugural attempt to recycle a booster within the Starship program. Notably, prior missions, Starship 7 and 8, encountered failures due to rocket explosions. The primary objectives of the Starship 9 mission will be to rigorously test the enhanced upper stage rocket and to demonstrate advancements in recovery technology.
