To tackle challenges such as inadequate strength, operational complexities, and malfunctions during power outages with hidden car door handles, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is actively seeking public opinion on the revision of the mandatory national standard, titled "Safety Technical Requirements for Automobile Door Handles." This standard, collaboratively drafted by various entities, applies to M1 and N1 category vehicles, as well as multi-purpose trucks. The updated standard will delineate clear guidelines for the installation, labeling, anti-pinch mechanisms, strength, and dynamic testing of door handles, while enhancing safety measures for escape and rescue in accident scenarios, including collisions and fires. Notably, current domestic and international standards lack comprehensive coverage of the safety functions and technical specifications for electric and hidden car door handles.
