In 2024, Changan Auto reached a seven-year sales peak, with operating revenue surging 5.58% year-on-year. Despite this achievement, the revenue growth rate marked its slowest pace in recent years, and net profit plummeted by 35.37% compared to the previous year. This paradox of increasing revenue yet declining profits can be largely attributed to losses sustained by its new energy brands: Deep Blue, which incurred a loss of 1.572 billion yuan, and Avita, which reported a loss of 4.018 billion yuan. While the joint venture brand Changan Ford managed to secure a net profit of 2.09 billion yuan, sales encountered a steep decline in the first quarter. Consequently, Changan Auto's overall performance is encountering significant challenges, and even the chairman's annual salary has been affected.
