On April 11, Xiaomi Automobile addressed concerns raised by the public regarding an incident that occurred on April 5, 2025. At dawn that day, a Xiaomi SU7 Standard Edition vehicle, while being manually operated by the driver (not the owner), collided with an electric scooter on Provincial Road 376 in Qujie Town, Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City. Following the accident, the driver fled the scene but was subsequently apprehended by police. Xiaomi Automobile extends its deepest condolences to those affected by the casualties resulting from this incident.

The on-site investigation has been concluded, and the final conclusion will be drawn based on the report issued by the relevant authorities. Preliminary findings indicate that the fire was sparked by severe compression and deformation of the electric scooter's lithium battery during the collision, subsequently igniting the Xiaomi vehicle.
