On April 10, local time, Venezuela's state-owned oil company, Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), revoked several permits held by the U.S.-based Chevron Corporation for the loading and export of Venezuelan crude oil. This decision follows the announcement made by U.S. President Trump on February 26 to rescind former President Biden's "concessions" towards Venezuela, effective March 1, which had previously allowed Chevron to extract crude oil in Venezuela. PDVSA's action constitutes a direct response to the shift in U.S. policy towards the South American nation.
