Data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) indicates that China's automobile production and sales surged in the first quarter of this year, hitting 7.561 million and 7.47 million units, respectively. This represents a robust year-on-year increase of 14.5% for production and 11.2% for sales. Notably, new energy vehicle (NEV) production and sales stood out, amounting to 3.182 million and 3.075 million units, respectively, marking significant growth of 50.4% and 47.1% year-on-year. These figures account for a substantial 41.2% of total new vehicle sales. Furthermore, China's automobile exports continued their upward trajectory, underscoring the country's growing international influence. Specifically, NEV exports reached 441,000 units, a notable 43.9% increase from the previous year.
