Didi Chuxing has become part of the local intelligent and autonomous vehicle industrial ecosystem. WeRide, in partnership with Uber, has initiated commercial operations of L4-level fully driverless Robotaxis in the city. Lately, Chinese autonomous driving companies have been channeling their efforts into solidifying their foothold in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. Industry experts note that as commercialization and globalization gather pace, emerging markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia are emerging as the primary targets for Chinese autonomous driving enterprises venturing abroad.
