Apple recently unveiled its first-ever foldable phone, the iPhone Duo. The rapid progress of this project can be traced back to approximately 2020. During that time, Cook paid a visit to the Asian market and was struck by the immense popularity of foldable phones from brands such as Huawei and Samsung. In reality, Apple had already filed patents related to foldable devices as early as 2016. Moreover, its core hardware team had embarked on research and development concerning foldable screens prior to 2019, with Cook emerging as the earliest and most fervent advocate within the company.

The iPhone Duo boasts a horizontal, book-style inward folding design. It features a 5.4-inch outer screen and transforms into a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display when unfolded. This model is powered by the A20 Pro chip, which is built on TSMC's cutting-edge 2nm process. It comes equipped with 12GB of memory and a next-generation in-house C2 cellular modem. Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and millimeter-wave 5G networks, ensuring seamless connectivity.

In terms of imaging capabilities, the iPhone Duo is outfitted with a horizontal dual-camera module. This module consists of a 48-megapixel main camera and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, enabling users to capture stunning photos and videos. Storage options for this device range from 256GB to a massive 2TB, catering to the diverse needs of users.

The Chinese version of the iPhone Duo starts at a price of 15,999 yuan. Pre-orders for this highly anticipated device will commence at 8 PM on October 16, with an official release slated for October 23.
