Tech insiders have disclosed that the smartphone market is poised to enter a phase of intensive new phone releases starting next week. September is expected to witness significant upward pressure on new phone prices, with domestic flagship models potentially seeing price hikes of over 1,000 yuan, bringing them on par with or even surpassing Apple's pricing. Presently, brands like Huawei, Xiaomi, and Honor have already adjusted the prices of some of their currently available models upwards, with increases ranging from 200 to 1,000 yuan, primarily attributable to escalating supply chain costs. This September's new phone releases are further compounded by a spike in storage costs, intensifying the rivalry between domestic and international brands in the premium market segment. In a departure from previous years, certain older models have also experienced price increases this year, diminishing the discounts available to consumers, with some models undergoing two price revisions within a single month.
