TCL has recently unveiled its latest P80 series of smartphones, encompassing three distinct models: the P80, P80 Pro, and P80 Ultra. The base model P80 is available from €349, with the Pro variant priced at €429, and the premium Ultra model retailing at €549.
The standout feature of the P80 Ultra is its cutting-edge 6.83-inch NxtPaper AMOLED display, designed to mimic the look and feel of paper for enhanced eye comfort. This innovative screen employs circularly polarized light technology and a uniform light film, delivering a crisp 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the P80 Ultra is driven by the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite chipset, complemented by 8GB of RAM. It offers ample storage options, with choices of 256GB or 512GB. Additionally, the device is equipped with a robust 5800mAh battery that supports rapid 45W fast charging.
When it comes to photography, the P80 Ultra impresses with a triple-camera setup on the rear, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto lens for zoomed-in shots, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens for capturing expansive scenes. The front-facing camera is a high-resolution 32-megapixel shooter.
The series introduces a dedicated button that instantly activates the e-reader mode, providing users with access to over 500 preloaded books. In this mode, the phone can last up to an impressive 7 days on a single charge, free from background app interference. The P80 Pro, while sharing most specifications with the Ultra model, opts for a dual rear camera configuration, excluding the periscope telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the standard P80 model does not incorporate NxtPaper technology and comes with 128GB of storage.
