The electronics industry standard, titled "Flexible Display Devices - Part 5-5: Crease Testing - Image Reflection Method" (SJ/T 11847.5.5-2026), which has been co-developed by TCL CSOT in partnership with numerous universities, testing organizations, and enterprises throughout the industrial chain, has been formally issued and is set to take effect on September 1, 2026. This standard addresses the existing void in evaluation techniques for creases in flexible displays by offering a unified, scientific, and quantifiable framework for industry assessment. It is applicable to a diverse range of electronic devices that incorporate flexible display components, encompassing three typical bending scenarios. This development signifies the official transition of crease testing for flexible displays into a new era of quantitative detection, providing solid technical backing for the industry's high-quality, standardized progression.
