Local time, at the LEAP 2026 Technology and Information Technology Exhibition held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Lenovo Group unveiled its first 'Made in Saudi Arabia' laptop. This product marks the first batch to roll off the production line at Lenovo's smart manufacturing base in Saudi Arabia. This base is Lenovo's first global facility capable of fully producing servers, laptops, desktops, and smartphones, with partial mass production of some products expected to commence by the end of 2026. Tareq Alangari, Senior Vice President of Lenovo Group, stated that Saudi Arabia will play a more significant role in Lenovo's global manufacturing, innovation, and supply chain networks.
