On April 14, an announcement posted on the official website of Russia's Rostec State Corporation revealed that Russia has pioneered a cutting-edge control system tailored for attack drone swarms. This system has successfully undergone preliminary testing and is poised for future deployment in executing precise strikes against intricate targets. Built upon the foundation of the 'Supercam' drone, the system integrates an aircraft-type loitering munition boasting enhanced data transmission capabilities, a launching apparatus, and a vehicle-mounted control station.
Leveraging this innovative system, a solitary operator can command up to 10 drones to scour a designated target area. The moment the first drone identifies a target, it promptly transmits the information to its counterparts. Following operator verification, the system autonomously allocates tasks and directs the drone swarm to launch an attack, effectively penetrating the adversary's air defense system and striking at complex targets. During the preliminary testing phase, the new system demonstrated its prowess by accurately hitting targets, and ongoing research and testing endeavors continue to refine its capabilities.
