Tea, a widely used dating safety app tailored exclusively for women, has recently suffered two consecutive major data breaches. The compromised data encompasses highly sensitive information such as user selfies, identification documents, and more than a million private messages. The first leak stemmed from an unsecured Firebase database that housed users' selfies and ID photos. Shortly thereafter, security researcher Kasra Rahjerdi uncovered the second breach, which involved a separate, more recent database storing users' private conversations. Both incidents have posed severe threats to user privacy.
