On September 27th, news emerged that the Shenzhou-23 crew, consisting of astronauts Zhu Yangzhu, Zhang Zhiyuan, and Li Jiaying, had been orbiting the Earth for more than four months. During the previous week, alongside their ongoing space science experiments and meticulous maintenance of the combined spacecraft platform, they accomplished the crucial task of transferring payloads both in and out of the cabin.

The general experimental device for external components and assemblies transferred out of the cabin this time encompassed experimental units like the 'Hollow-core Photonic Bandgap Fiber Gyroscope,' 'Advanced Process Devices,' and 'Remote Sensing Target Detection Based on Domestic AI Chips.' These are geared towards exploring cutting-edge space technologies and their applications. In seamless collaboration with ground personnel, the crew successfully retrieved the material exposure experiment device back into the cabin. This device, initially launched into orbit aboard the Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft on November 12, 2022, has already conducted three rounds of exposure experiments, encompassing 16 projects and achieving several international milestones. Presently, it is engaged in a fourth experiment, involving 8 scientific research projects and 26 unit samples.

Inside the cabin, space science experiments progressed methodically last week. The crew carried out mass perception and arm vibration experimental tests for the in-orbit tactile perception experiment project. This endeavor aimed to delve into the evolving patterns of astronauts' tactile perception abilities during spaceflight. Simultaneously, they undertook emergency decision-making ability assessments and in-orbit emotional state tests, continuously amassing valuable data.

Regarding the maintenance of the combined spacecraft platform, the crew replaced components within the water-vapor separation device of the regenerative life support system. Furthermore, the astronauts underwent comprehensive medical examinations, including 12-lead electrocardiograms and non-invasive cardiac function tests. They also utilized equipment such as the bone loss countermeasure device and neuromuscular stimulation device to mitigate the physiological impacts of weightlessness, adhering to the highest standards of health and safety in space.
