The head of Marvell Technology's India operations told Reuters that the U.S. chipmaker plans to expand its hiring and increase research and development spending in India to capitalize on the surging global demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure. Currently, Marvell employs 1,700 people in India and plans to grow its workforce by 15% annually over the next three years. Bangalore serves as its Indian headquarters, the Hyderabad center focuses on developing security solutions for data centers, and the Pune team is responsible for embedded development in networking and storage.
