On November 4, in relation to the progress of consultations concerning the Nexperia Semiconductor matter, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce highlighted that on September 30, the Dutch government issued an administrative directive that unjustly meddled in the internal operations of Nexperia Semiconductor. Following this, the Dutch Enterprise Court rendered an incorrect decision, stripping Chinese enterprises of their equity and severely encroaching upon the lawful rights and interests of these enterprises. Since then, the Dutch side has ignored China's justifiable requests, failed to adopt a constructive stance, and exacerbated the global supply chain crisis.
On October 26, Nexperia (Netherlands) announced its decision to halt wafer supplies to Nexperia (China), thereby obstructing the latter's normal production processes and causing disruptions in the global semiconductor supply chain. For this action, the Dutch side should be held fully accountable.
On November 1, China declared that it would grant exemptions for qualified exports, aiming to facilitate the resumption of supply by Nexperia (China). However, the Dutch side has persisted in taking unilateral actions without implementing practical measures to address the issue. China expresses the hope that the Dutch side will, with a view to preserving economic and trade relations and ensuring the stability and security of the supply chain, collaborate with China in a unified direction, cease interfering in the internal affairs of enterprises, and seek a constructive resolution to the Nexperia Semiconductor issue. Meanwhile, China will resolutely defend the legitimate rights and interests of its enterprises and work towards stabilizing the global semiconductor supply chain.
