According to reports from South Korean media, Micron has been vigorously recruiting semiconductor engineers from South Korea in recent times, with a particular emphasis on poaching senior experts from its rival firms, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Sources within the industry disclosed that Micron has been reaching out to seasoned engineers in South Korean companies through LinkedIn, enticing them to join its wafer fabrication facility situated in Taichung, Taiwan (China). This particular plant represents Micron's largest DRAM production site in Taiwan (China) and also serves as a crucial center for manufacturing High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), a vital component for artificial intelligence. In a bid to entice top-tier talent, Micron is offering highly competitive remuneration packages, with annual salaries (inclusive of bonuses) for senior executive roles soaring up to 200 million won (equivalent to approximately RMB 1 million). Several South Korean engineers have already landed senior executive positions at Micron.
