Recently, a research team at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), under the leadership of Professor Jiang Wu from the Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences, published a significant research paper in Applied Physics Letters. Titled "Ytterbium Dopant-Manipulated Neuromorphic Behavior for Wavelength-Dependent Dual-Modal Photodetection," the paper was chosen as the journal's highlighted cover article. This groundbreaking study introduces a wavelength-regulated dual-mode perovskite photodetector that leverages ytterbium doping technology. It seamlessly integrates conventional sensing capabilities with neuromorphic responses within a single platform, offering fresh perspectives for designing next-generation multimodal optoelectronic devices. Postdoctoral researcher Sadeq Abbasi, also from the Institute of Fundamental and Frontier Sciences, is the paper's first author, with Researcher Aobo Ren and Associate Researcher Kai Shen serving as co-corresponding authors.
