On Monday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled a monumental plan to invest tens of billions of dollars in constructing numerous ultra-large-scale AI data centers, aiming to expedite the evolution of 'super intelligence'. In a social media post, Zuckerberg disclosed that Meta is currently developing multiple data center clusters with gigawatt-scale capacities. The inaugural cluster, dubbed 'Prometheus', is projected to commence operations in 2026. Simultaneously, another cluster named 'Hyperion' is under active construction and is anticipated to expand to a 5-gigawatt scale within the next few years.
