In response to news that Meta plans to sell AI computing power and model access rights to external clients, Deutsche Bank analysts pointed out that this does not indicate Meta is weakening its Layout (layout/positioning) in cutting-edge models or 'superintelligence.' Instead, it is more likely monetizing older, non-core, or intermittently idle computing power externally while retaining the latest-generation chips for internal training. This move is expected to shift market concerns over Meta's 'high capital expenditures with limited revenue returns' to a reevaluation of its new high-margin revenue streams. Deutsche Bank estimates that by the end of 2027, Meta's AI-related computing power could reach 8 to 11.5 GW, with approximately 1.2 to 2.7 GW available for external sale. Assuming 75% of this capacity is sold and each GW generates annualized revenue of $10 billion to $15 billion, Meta could see additional revenue of $9 billion to $30 billion in 2027, exceeding market expectations by 3% to 10%, with a baseline scenario around $17.5 billion.
