On April 22, the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government unveiled the Action Plan for Accelerating the High-Level Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Across All Sectors, Eras, and Industries in Guangdong Province. This plan outlines a strategic direction for the 'AI+' integration of brain-computer interfaces, encompassing the development of innovative brain-inspired algorithms, research into brain-inspired computing architectures and neuromorphic chips, as well as the establishment of low-power, high-performance, general-purpose brain-inspired intelligent computing systems. Concurrently, it fosters the synergy between brain-computer interfaces and state-of-the-art technologies such as embodied AI, bolstering the advancement of peripheral devices, including brain-controlled rehabilitation humanoid robots, exoskeletons, robotic arms, and prosthetic limbs.
