On April 22, according to The New York Times, citing two sources familiar with the matter, SpaceX has agreed to acquire artificial intelligence startup Cursor, which specializes in developing code-writing software, for over $50 billion. The acquisition comes as SpaceX prepares for what could be the largest IPO in history. Founded in 2022, Cursor, as one of the fastest-growing AI startups, has raised over $3 billion in funding. Previously, SpaceX stated that Cursor had granted it the right to acquire the company for $60 billion or opt to pay $10 billion for the fruits of their collaboration.
