Amazon has declared its intention to inject up to an extra $25 billion into AI startup Anthropic, in a strategic move to bolster its artificial intelligence infrastructure framework. Prior to this, Amazon had already made a substantial investment of $8 billion in Anthropic. On Monday, Anthropic unveiled its plan to channel over $100 billion into Amazon Web Services' technological offerings over the next ten years. This investment will encompass both current and forthcoming iterations of Amazon's proprietary AI chip, Trainium. Concurrently, Anthropic has secured computing power resources of up to 5 gigawatts to facilitate the training and deployment of its Claude large language model.
