On February 24th, AMD and Meta Platforms announced a 6 GW agreement aimed at providing multi-generational support for Meta's next-generation AI infrastructure with AMD Instinct GPUs. This agreement not only expands the existing strategic partnership between the two companies but also aligns development roadmaps at the chip, system, and software levels to build an AI platform specifically designed for Meta's workloads. Lisa Su, Chairman and CEO of AMD, stated that AMD is proud to expand its strategic collaboration with Meta to jointly push the boundaries of AI at an unprecedented scale. As part of the agreement, AMD has granted Meta performance-based warrants allowing it to purchase up to 160 million shares of AMD common stock. Currently, AMD and Meta are collaborating comprehensively to deploy AI infrastructure at scale globally, accelerating AI innovation and bringing AI-driven services and experiences to billions of users worldwide.
