According to France's Futura Sciences website, Musk's ambitious plan includes constructing a colossal electromagnetic catapult and a satellite assembly facility on the lunar surface. The catapult would play a pivotal role in launching satellites into Earth's orbit.
Previously, SpaceX has sought permission from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to establish a system comprising up to 1 million satellites in low-Earth orbit. This initiative aims to forge an on-orbit data center network capable of meeting the high-performance computing requirements of AI and various other applications.
