Citigroup has revised upwards its projections regarding the spending of tech behemoths on artificial intelligence (AI)-related infrastructure. The bank now anticipates that, by 2029, these expenditures will escalate from the previously forecasted $2.3 trillion to a staggering sum exceeding $2.8 trillion. This upward revision stems from the early and vigorous investments made by hyperscale tech firms, coupled with the enduring and ever-increasing enthusiasm from enterprises operating within the AI sphere.
