Jim Farley, the CEO of Ford Motor, issued a stark warning: without the essential workforce to bolster infrastructure, the United States will struggle to realize its ambitious artificial intelligence (AI) "moonshot" objectives. The AI market is expected to soar to a staggering $4.8 trillion by 2033. Yet, Farley highlighted a critical oversight - the U.S. has neglected to cultivate the workforce necessary for constructing and maintaining data centers as well as manufacturing facilities. Although the Trump administration endeavored to encourage the return of manufacturing jobs to the U.S. (reshoring), the nation's manufacturing sector continues to grapple with difficulties in attracting and retaining skilled talent.
