JoyTech, a consumer-focused embodied artificial intelligence (AI) company, has proudly declared the successful closure of its 'Angel++' round of financing, raising an impressive RMB 200 million (approximately US$28 million). This achievement marks JoyTech's third funding round in just nine months, bringing the cumulative amount raised in its angel rounds to nearly RMB 500 million (about US$70 million).

The latest funding initiative was spearheaded by Zhongding Capital, a renowned investment firm. It also saw significant participation from existing shareholders, including the prestigious IDG Capital, which opted to further its investment.

The freshly acquired capital will be strategically allocated to enhance JoyTech's in-house capabilities. A substantial portion will be directed towards the development of core components, a critical aspect of ensuring the company's technological edge. Additionally, the funds will fuel research and development efforts in robot bodies and motion control technology, two areas pivotal to advancing the functionality and versatility of JoyTech's AI products.

Furthermore, the investment will support the iterative refinement of consciousness bionic models, a cutting-edge field that seeks to replicate human-like cognitive abilities in machines. By focusing on these key areas, JoyTech aims to expedite the widespread commercialization of its consumer-grade embodied AI products, thereby solidifying its position as a leader in the burgeoning AI market.
