Gui'an New Area has welcomed Guizhou's inaugural driverless bus route, aptly named the "Driverless Huaxi University Town Special Line." Operating on this innovative line is a PIX Moving-manufactured minibus, affectionately dubbed the "Robobus," offering unmanned shuttle services spanning distances between 3 and 10 kilometers. Boasting a capacity for 6 passengers, this vehicle showcases advanced L4-level autonomous driving technology. The journey commences at the Huaxi University Town Station of the Guiyang Suburban Express Railway, weaving through key educational hubs such as Guizhou Normal University and Guizhou Minzu University, before concluding at Guizhou University of Technology. The entire one-way trip spans 5 kilometers and takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes, providing commuters with a fresh travel alternative and contributing to the easing of urban traffic congestion.
