During the first quarter of 2025, global automobile sales amounted to 22.64 million units, with new energy vehicles (NEVs) comprising 4.46 million units, or 19.7% of the total. Notably, China's independent brand NEVs have seen a significant surge in their overseas market share, rising from 1.8% in 2021 to 11.7% by March 2025. China's new energy passenger vehicles have particularly shone on the global stage, capturing 67.7% of the global market share in Q1 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 5.4 percentage points. China's contribution to the global growth of NEVs is unparalleled, accounting for 84% of the increment, vastly outpacing Germany and France with 5% and the UK with 3%.
