The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reports that in the first quarter of 2025, the value added of industrial enterprises above a specified size nationwide surged by 6.5% year-on-year. Notably, the equipment manufacturing sector shone brightly, with electronics, automotives, and electrical machinery and equipment leading the growth charge. During this period, industry's contribution to macroeconomic growth stood at an impressive 36.3%. Furthermore, private investment in industry sustained double-digit growth, accompanied by enhanced corporate expectations and profits. The count of industrial enterprises exceeding the designated size also continued to climb. Additionally, the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector expanded for two straight months, signaling a promising trend in manufacturing activities.
