On April 16, the official WeChat account of Lingang, Shanghai, announced that Tesla's first batch of newly refreshed Model Y vehicles from the Shanghai Gigafactory have begun mass shipments to the international market. These vehicles were loaded onto a ship on the evening of April 15, destined for Port Kembla, Australia. According to statistics, from April 1 to 15, the export of foreign trade vehicles from the South Port of Shanghai surged by 54% compared to the previous month and by 62% compared to the same period last year. The entire month of April is fully booked for auto import and export roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) operations. As the volume of auto foreign trade increases, the number of international ro-ro ships has also risen accordingly. The Yangshan Border Inspection Station reported that a total of 34 ro-ro ships were inspected in the first half of April, marking a 55% increase from the previous month and a 240% increase from the same period last year.
