At electronica China 2025 in Munich, TE Connectivity unveiled its groundbreaking aluminum connection technology specifically designed for automotive low-voltage wiring. The core innovation of this technology lies in its "aluminum-for-copper" approach, which not only substantially reduces dependence on copper but also contributes to vehicle lightweighting. This advancement enables Chinese automakers to cut copper usage by approximately 10 kilograms per vehicle. Furthermore, the technology effectively addresses the challenges of electrochemical corrosion and aluminum creep commonly encountered in copper-aluminum connections.
