On the afternoon of April 2, a document titled "A Letter to All Users and the Public Who Are Concerned About the Xiaomi SU7 Incident," purportedly authored by Lei Jun, gained widespread circulation on the internet. In this letter, a commitment was made to uncover the truth behind the incident, reflect on it, and take necessary actions. The letter further advocated for transparent communication and reaffirmed a decade-long safety pledge. It stated that should the investigation reveal any issues with the vehicle, sales would be promptly halted, and all sold vehicles would be unconditionally recalled. Additionally, Lei Jun expressed his intention to personally contribute 100 million yuan to establish a "New Energy Vehicle Life Protection Fund" and to collaborate with CATL to initiate research on "Extreme Collision Power-off Technology." However, Xiaomi subsequently issued a statement to Securities Times, denying that the letter was authentic. To date, neither Xiaomi's official Weibo account nor Lei Jun's personal Weibo account has published the aforementioned content.
