On July 18, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2020 to 2027 Aviator and 2020 to 2026 Explorer models, totaling approximately 388,000 vehicles. The recall is due to the possibility that the easy entry function switch for the second-row outboard seats may become stuck, causing the seats to unlock, tilt, or slide. In the event of a vehicle collision, this may result in the inability to effectively restrain occupants, increasing the risk of injury.
