On May 26th, news emerged that Stellantis NV is set to allocate more than €1 billion (roughly equivalent to $1.2 billion) towards upgrading its Mulhouse automotive facility, situated in the eastern part of France. This strategic investment is aimed at kick-starting the production of a novel line of electric vehicles, with operations slated to commence from 2029 onwards. Presently, the plant is engaged in the assembly of popular models, including the Peugeot 308 and 408.
