On April 6, reports emerged indicating that the 47th Bangkok International Auto Show wrapped up on the 5th. Data released by the event organizers on the 6th revealed that, propelled by the burgeoning new energy vehicle market, especially electric vehicles, Chinese car brands have, for the inaugural time, overtaken Japanese brands in total bookings at the auto show, marking a significant milestone. This year's auto show witnessed a total of 132,951 vehicle bookings and 2,056 motorcycle bookings, drawing in close to 1.8 million visitors. This influx underscores a steady resurgence in the Thai automotive market. In terms of brand bookings, Chinese car brands shone with an overall exceptional performance, leading Japanese brands in bookings for the first time. Notably, BYD claimed the top spot with 17,354 bookings, outpacing Toyota's 15,750; OMODA&JAECOO secured the third position with 15,088 bookings.
